It Don't Mean A Thing If It Ain't Got That Swing!
Join Hepcat Swing for some of the coolest times you'll ever have!
Hepcat Swing is a dance club based in beautiful Christchurch, New Zealand, that promotes the dance styles and culture of the swing era through dance tuition, themed dances, events and special performances.
Swing is an umbrella term used to describe the music and dance styles derived from the jazz movement in the United States during the 1920s to the 1940s.
Our next live band night is on Wed 14th June... Even So will be swinging and bluesing us for the evening, so get down to the Yellow Cross at 8.30pm for a
FREE beginners lesson, and then plenty of great tunes from 9.30pm!
Australian blues guru Josh McKiterick will be here as our special guest in August... Get your groove on! Click on the picture below for full details.
Also put the date of Wed August 7th in your diaries... not only will the 920 Special (featuring Sideline Swing Big Band) be returning to the YC, but we will be hosting
the Body Festival 2010 program launch - this means there will be some simply awesome dance performances of all types to see on the night - woot!
